Sophomore Joell Idrovo (Hamilton, NJ/Solebury School) was named the Region 19 Tournament MVP.  In Mercer’s 81-77 win vs Lackawanna, Idrovo had 17 points, five rebounds and five steals.  In the 80-71 championship win vs Raritan Valley, Idrovo scored 27 points and was a perfect 8 for 8 from the free throw line.  Idrovo also grabbed seven rebounds in the championship win, doing whatever was needed to give Mercer their first title in sixteen years.

Idrovo has had an outstanding year for Mercer.  In the final week of the regular season Idrovo scored his 1,000^th career point.  This week Idrovo was named the Region 19 Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Region 19 honors.
