On Tuesday, February 7th Mercer men’s basketball held Sophomore Night at their game vs Lackawanna, a night to honor their second year players for all the hard work and time they have put into the team for two years.
Torren Greene is a Sports Management major from Berlin, NJ. Greene is averaging 15.8 points per game. Torren averaged 15.4 points per game last season. Though quiet, Greene leads by example and lets his play lead the team. Greene’s composure and cool presence has helped control Mercer’s offense.
Joell Idrovo is a Computer Science major from Hamilton, NJ. Joell earned All Region and GSAC honors for the 2024-25 season. Joell was named GSAC Player of the Week twice this season. Joell is averaging 19.3 points per game and is currently 19th in the country with 464 points on the season. Last season, Joell averaged 16.8 points per game. Joell earned 2nd Team All-Region 19 honors and 2nd Team All-Garden State Athletic Conference honors for the 2024-2025 season. Joell also excelled off the court, earning All-Region and All-Conference All-Academic honors in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.
Brandon McCain is a Liberal Arts major from North Brunswick. Brandon is averaging 13.7 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. Last year Brandon averaged 10.7 points per game and 6 rebounds per game. Brandon brings a lot of energy to each game and practice and has helped ignite Mercer in the second half of this season.
Keith Morris is a New Media Communications major from Somerset. Keith was a 2024-2025 NJCAA Academic All-American. Keith has earned All-Region and All-Conference All-Academic Honors all three semesters he has been at Mercer. Though quiet, Keith is a big supporter of all of his teammates and his sense of humor is always good for laughs from his coaches and team.
Drew Parrish is an Exercise Science major from New York, NY. Drew earned All-Region and All-Conference All-Academic honors for the Fall 2025 semester. Drew is currently in the top 50 in DII basketball in both assists and steals. Drew is averaging 10.8 points per game. Last season Drew averaged 9 points a game. Drew is one of the team’s vocal leaders and helps push the team daily.
Kathryn Pinnelli is a Liberal Arts major from Pennington, NJ and the team manager. Kathryn does whatever is asked of her. Kathryn is energetic and positive and always prepared for every game and practice. Kathryn was a big help to the team all season and her effort and hard work did not go unnoticed by the team and coaches.
