West Windsor, NJ-Mercer edged Howard CC (18-13) 4-1 in Game 1 of their doubleheader to move to 32-3 on the season. Sophomore Stella Logan (Trenton, NJ/Allentown HS) went 2 for 3 with a triple, home run and 2 RBIs and freshman Karisa Krawiec (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) had an RBI in the win.
Sophomore pitcher Jozalyn Sheipe-Warthen (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) struck out five in seven scoreless innings and allowed just one hit in the win.
