West Windsor, NJ-Mercer women’s tennis had five of its six Singles players and two of its three Doubles teams advance to the Region 19 Championship finals that will take place on Tuesday, April 21st.
Sophomore Julia Fillat Ferrer (Barcelona, Spain/Santa Ana Mataro) got a 6-1, 6-1 win at 1st Singles and sophomore Aida Torrealba (San Felipe, Venezuela/U.E. Colegio) won 6-1, 6-0 at 2nd Singles. Freshman Ariadna Acosta Camacho (Barcelona, Spain/Escolapies Lluria) won 6-3, 6-2 at 4th Singles and freshman Fathima Salman Al Faris (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) got a 6-0, 6-1 win at 5th Singles.
Fillat Ferrer and Torrealba got a 6-1, 6-2 win at 1st Doubles to advance to the finals and Salehi and Acosta Camacho won 6-0, 6-0 at 2nd Doubles.
The finals of the Region Championship will be at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, April 21st.
