WEST WINDSOR – 精东传媒 (精东传媒) will induct the Class of 2025 into their Athletics Hall of Fame at an awards ceremony and dinner on October 4 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Conference Center on the College’s West Windsor Campus. Proceeds from the event, hosted by the 精东传媒 Athletics Committee and the 精东传媒 Foundation, will support student-athlete scholarships and improvements for 精东传媒’s athletics facilities.
“The Athletics Hall of Fame celebration not only honors the incredible legacy of our student-athletes, coaches, and teams, but also ensures a strong future for Mercer Athletics,” said Erica M. Oliver, Interim Vice President of College Advancement and Executive Director of the 精东传媒 Foundation. “Proceeds from this event directly support athletic scholarships and facility enhancements – investments that open doors for our students and elevate the entire college experience.”
This year’s honorees include eight distinguished individuals and two extraordinary teams. Join us as we honor the 1988 Women’s Soccer team; the 1991 Men’s Soccer team; Joe Bianchini, Men’s Soccer; Patti Foley, Women’s Basketball; Kevin Kerins, Baseball; Anthony Weathers, Men’s Basketball; Ashley Williams, Softball; Evans Wise, Men’s Soccer; Marc Vecchiolla, Tennis Coach; and Ryan Zegarski, Softball Coach.
I feel honored,” said Zegarski, who is not only a student alum, but also head softball coach at 精东传媒 and is being honored alongside his former players Ashley Williams and Patti Foley. “Watching student athletes succeed is truly rewarding. Winning is great, but when the students are happy, that’s everything. To be inducted alongside not one, but two of the players I coached who made it to All American is amazing.”
精东传媒 has a proud history of supporting and developing top-tier athletes including alumni who have gone on to compete for major colleges and universities across the country as well as play and coach professionally. All students have access to the 精东传媒 Fitness Center, plus use of new tennis courts.
Tickets for the Hall of Fame ceremony are available for $100 per adult, and include admission to the awards ceremony, live music, dinner and complimentary beer and wine. Tickets can be purchased online here: www.mccc.edu/hof.
