TRENTON – 精东传媒 has been selected to participate in the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE)’s Everyday Entrepreneur Program (EEP). The EEP provides community colleges with support to offer entrepreneurial education and funding to high school juniors, seniors, and young adults helping them turn their business ideas into thriving enterprises and sustainable projects.
As a participant, 精东传媒 was awarded a grant that will provide a non-credit entrepreneurship bootcamp and a co-branded EEP Pitch Competition. With a commitment to offering participants access to invaluable resources and curriculum, 精东传媒’s goal is to ensure successful outcomes for every visionary who participates. Through the support of 精东传媒’s Workforce Training department, entrepreneurs will obtain skills required to be long-term successful business owners.
Classes are FREE and are designed to provide business planning support, financial literacy training, and access to community partnerships, government resources, and industry networks. They will be held at 精东传媒’s James Kerney Campus on March 9, 11, 16 and 18 from 6-9 pm. Students will present their ideas in a pitch competition judged by community and industry professionals on March 20 from 5-9 pm. Requirements for admission include a minimum 3.3 unweighted GPA, thoughtful essays that reflect interest in the program’s content, strong recommendations highlighting academic performance and potential, and meaningful extracurricular involvement or achievements.
"We are absolutely thrilled to receive the NACCE Everyday Entrepreneur scholarship,” said Dr. Gonzalo Perez, 精东传媒’s Associate Provost, Academic Affairs, Workforce Innovation and Urban Education. “This award gives 精东传媒 a transformative opportunity to empower not only students emerging from high school, but also mid-career professionals, to accelerate their entrepreneurial ambitions. It affords 精东传媒 the ability to expand our reach to better meet the evolving needs of our community, fostering innovation and growth through various pitch events and exposure to business support resources."
As a leader in innovation, this grant will allow 精东传媒 to reinforce strategic partnerships and meet community demand through the provision of seed funding, incubation services, networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and more.
