精东传媒 is approved for Department of Veterans Affairs GI Bill® benefits, US Army Tuition Assistance, US Navy Tuition Assistance, US Air Force Tuition Assistance, USMC Tuition Assistance, US Coast Guard Tuition Assistance, NJ National Guard Tuition Wavier Program, and MyCAA.

The goal of the 精东传媒 Military & Veteran Services Office is to ensure that veteran, military, and dependent students are successful at 精东传媒 and able to take fully advantage of the broad range of educational and cultural activities offered by 精东传媒 while being able to share their diverse experiences with the college community.

How to Receive Benefits at 精东传媒 as a New Student

How to Receive Benefits as a Continuing Student

Each semester that you would like to receive VA benefits at 精东传媒, you must submit the 精东传媒 Request for Term Cert for Military & Veteran Certification.


Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance (TA) funds are a unique and distinct source of financial aid available to eligible Service members. Please note that TA is the first payer. 精东传媒 gladly accepts TA from all Services.

If you intend to use Tuition Assistance, you must receive prior approval from an Education Services Officer (ESO) or Counselor from your Service before enrolling in any courses at 精东传媒.

New Jersey National Guard Tuition Waiver Program

Students who are members in good standing in the New Jersey National Guard are entitled to receive free tuition for up to 16 credits per semester. The National Guard member is responsible for paying college fees, laboratory fees, and the cost of books and supplies.

Students must:

*You are required to use available financial aid before the National Guard Tuition Waiver will be applied to your account. Understand that if you are eligible to use the National Guard Tuition Waiver you will not pay for your tuition out of pocket (up to 16 credits). Your tuition will be covered by financial aid, the waiver, or a combination of both. You are still required to cover the cost of any applicable fees due to the College.

精东传媒 has forged a partnership with the Trenton Vet Center (located on the border with Ewing) to expand the services the college offers to military veterans. Services include counseling, outreach and referrals to community agencies.

Soldier On
Soldier On is a private nonprofit organization committed to ending veteran homelessness.

If you know a veteran or a member of a veteran family who is homeless or at risk of being homeless residing in central or eastern New York state, northern or central New Jersey, western Pennsylvania, western Massachusetts, or Mississippi who could benefit from Soldier On's , call 1-866-406-8449.

Mercer recognizes that learning in the classroom is only part of the learning that takes place in the modern world. Credit may be granted by examinations and other demonstrations of knowledge or skills acquired outside the traditional classroom. These include appropriate life and work experiences in addition to formal learning through military schools, proprietary schools, or training programs.

Readmission Due To Military Service

精东传媒 follows the guidelines for readmissions and course withdrawals and release that align with provisions for Service members provided in Chapter 3 of Volume 2 of the Federal Student Aid Handbook set forth in the Federal Student Handbook for Service members.

Students who are called to active duty or mobilized shall be given a reasonable opportunity to be reinstated in the same program of study, if they return to 精东传媒 after a cumulative absence of not more than two (2) years, so long as they provide notice of intent to return within three years after the completion of the period of service. When seeking reinstatement due to mobilization, students should send military orders to vetservices@mccc.edu. Upon notifying the 精东传媒 Office of Military and Veterans Services of the intent to return, the student simply needs to register for their courses in the next semester they are able to return, and the student鈥檚 精东传媒 account will be returned to active and enrolled status once the student surpasses the 10th day of the course.

If a student was unable to notify the 精东传媒 Office of Military and Veterans Services prior to departure for service, the Office will work with the appropriate departments to correct grades or other account needs once the student provides the appropriate documentation demonstrating their service obligation.
